Amanda Smith | Mother Agent
Amanda Smith is the founder of MG Productions and a trusted guide for emerging talent across the Southeast. Her journey into the industry didn’t begin with a business plan—it began with a little girl and a mic.
Amanda’s daughter, Maddie Grace, started singing with backing tracks at just two and a half years old. By the time she was a tween, she was performing regularly and catching attention for her voice and stage presence. When they attended The ARTS in 2021, it was vocals that brought them there. Since then, Maddie Grace has gone on to work with John DeGrazzio of Watersound for vocal development, and now performs nearly every weekend—whether on commercial sets, live stages, or special event gigs. Watching her daughter’s confidence grow, Amanda knew she wasn’t just along for the ride—she was meant to lead others, too.
MG Productions was born out of that experience. Today, Amanda works with aspiring talent across voice, acting, modeling, and dance—helping them prepare, submit, and show up with purpose. She brings a steady, experienced approach from her background as a paramedic and police officer, and leads with honesty, clarity, and care.
Amanda is now proudly a Director and business partner with Applause International, where she takes the talent she scouts to meet with casting professionals and agents from across the industry. In her debut season as a Director at The ARTS, she achieved a 100% callback rate—because she doesn’t just spot potential, she knows talent when she sees it.
Outside of talent development, Amanda’s life is full of stories—trips through the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, surprise plane flyovers at her wedding, and snowmobiling with her family to a hidden hot spring in Jackson Hole. She’s grounded by faith, inspired by nature, and always up for a good glass of wine, a backwoods fishing trip, or a front-row seat to live music.
She loves big, works hard, and believes in helping others step into rooms—and moments—that were always meant for them.
